SportNI Creating Opportunities Phase 3
Receive up to £5k in match-funding from Sport NI through crowdfunding
Phase 3 applications will close at the end of January 2027 (unless funds are exhausted before
then).
Sports clubs, charities, PTAs and community organisations can receive up to £5,000 match funding for new projects thanks to Sport NI’s Creating Opportunities programme.
In its third year, an increased 65% match funding pledge will be made by Sport NI to successful groups with 35% of the overall amount being raised through Crowdfunder UK.
Creating Opportunities, made possible by National Lottery funding, is focused on providing more opportunities for people of all backgrounds, ages and abilities to participate in sport and physical activity.
Applicants will need to raise funds through supporters and backing from the local community.
This project has been made possible thanks to the support from The National Lottery and the National Lottery players who raise more than £33 million every week for good causes.
- Funding through Creating Opportunities is available for the following types of
organisations: - Constituted Sports Clubs
Affiliated to a governing body recognised by Sport NI or Sport Ireland. - -Community or Voluntary Organisations
Where sport and/or physical activity is the primary activity for delivery within the
project. - Charitable Trusts
Focused on delivering or enabling sport and physical activity within the project. - Constituted Parent Teacher Associations (PTAs)
Delivering extracurricular sport and physical activity.
