The NI Sports Forum is pleased to invite members, Governing Bodies of Sport, clubs, facility operators and sports event organisers to a dedicated webinar on Martyn’s Law (The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025) and what the new legislation means for the sporting sector in Northern Ireland.
With the legislation expected to come into effect in 2027, sports organisations across Northern Ireland will need to understand their responsibilities and begin preparing for the requirements designed to enhance public safety and improve preparedness against potential terrorist threats.
Named in memory of Martyn Hett, one of the victims of the Manchester Arena attack in 2017, Martyn’s Law aims to ensure that organisations responsible for public venues and events consider security measures and preparedness as part of their normal operational planning.

- Provide an update on the Home Office Section 27 Statutory Guidance and on the Security Industry Authority’s proposed approach to regulation
